Flat tummies without endless hours at the gym – sounds like a dream, right? Well, dream bodies aren’t just for those who dedicate their entire lives to physical fitness.
Even Jenna Rizzo, a fitness trainer for young women who has devoted nearly a decade of her life to staying in shape, admits that she considers herself quite lazy. For women like her, she created a “lazy girl’s guide” with three simple tips on how to emphasize the waist without much effort.
“Lazy girls deserve to fuck too,” Rizzo said in the video TikTok.
Stay hydrated:
Believe it or not, the journey to a flatter stomach starts with something as simple as drinking water.
“I wish I could shout it from the rooftops. Water is a fundamental key to life itself, but from an aesthetic point of view [perspective]it does wonders for your skin and is incredibly good for your digestive system,” Rizzo said.
Staying hydrated is not only important for your skin, but it also helps reduce bloating by flushing out toxins and keeping your body in balance for your overall health.
Limit alcohol:
Are you worried about facial swelling? It’s simple – just give up alcohol for a week, says Rizzo. While Rizzo isn’t opposed to having a drink now and then, she warns that repeated, regular use can cause inflammation, swelling and bloating.
“Alcohol itself is a toxin and when you drink it, it actually activates your immune system. And when it gets activated, it causes an inflammatory response,” she explained.
The term “beer belly” is often associated with alcohol, but alcohol is not the only culprit. The combination of calories from food, sugary drinks and alcohol can contribute to the accumulation of abdominal fat, leading to the classic beer belly.
Aim for a small calorie deficit:
You don’t always need intense workouts or food deprivation to start your weight loss journey. Eating a little less than your body burns is an easy way to lose weight, Rizzo said.
“No, there is not a toxic diet culture here. I’m not asking you to eat 1,000 calories a day. If you’re in a small calorie deficit, it will still help your body burn fat,” Rizzo said.
