Odra breaks the bainee countertop, Texas—Kazy has increased more than three times, and health officials warn that the worst will come. A very contagious virus spreads quickly, and more infection “probably” in the coming days.
Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) confirmed 48 cases this week, from just 14 last Friday.
“Thirteen patients were hospitalized,” said the agency in a press release. All cases include people who are either unvaccinated or whose vaccination status is unknown.
“The best way to prevent illness is to immulize two doses of measles vaccine,” DSHS advised. Disease control and prevention centers (CDC) notes that the vaccine vaccine against measles-mumps-rabella (MMR) is effective in preventing infection.
Health officials attribute an explosion to low vaccination indicators. Only 82% of preschoolers in public schools Gaines are current at their shots, well below 95% of the threshold required to resistance to herds. The poviat also has 18% vaccine exclusion indicator due to religious or personal beliefs.
“We are trying to convey how important vaccination is,” said CNN Zach Holbrooks, executive director of South Plains Public Health District. He emphasized that exposed or symptomatic people should be tested on mobile screening in a seminole in Texas.
“Odra is a serious, but an avoidable disease,” added Dr. Jamie Felberg of South Plains Public Health District. “Being with vaccinations is the most effective way to protect yourself, your loved ones and communities.”
“Additional cases can occur in Gaines and nearby communities,” DSHS warned.
