Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley also expressed their sadness in a statement to: Hollywood reporter. “I am devastated by the death of Ace Frehley,” Simmons said. “He was an indispensable and irreplaceable rock soldier in some of the most formative, founding chapters of the band and its history. He is and always will be part of the KISS legacy.”
